My parents have decided to become gun owners. I took them to the range for the first time and let them shoot my M&P 9mm VTAC and M&P Shield 9mm. They liked both. My mom being partial to the Shield and my dad liking the VTAC. So now they are looking for a gun.

My question is what is the best 9mm pistol under $450? Preferably full size. No smaller than a Glock 19.

used guns will open your options a lot. most modern new guns arent used much so can often be had cheaper than new.

I picked up my SR9 for under $450. I know they vary from shop to shop but I don't often see them over $460. I picked up mine for $280. Fantastic full size 9 IMO.

Ruger SR series are priced around $450 in normal circumstances. I own one and they are great guns.
