Range/carry, lightweight, high quality, good for beginners, reasonably priced...

CZ75 PCR. Alloy frame, decocker, loaded chamber indicator, 14 round mag, low mount Novak style sights, one of the best CCW pistols ever made, IMHO. Just my opinion.

Get what fits YOU. Then spend GOOD money on both a quality belt and holster, THAT will make the difference on concealability, far more than the gun. Case in point - I am carrying a full sized CZ SP-01 Phantom concealed nowadays, in a Hig Noon Down Under rig with their Rock Steady belt, and it works.

Glock 19. Nothing more reliable, affordable, proven, easy to use, easy to ccw and accurate at the same time.

Well the Hi Power is about the best range 9mm and a classic beauty but a little big for CCW. The best compromise is probably the Glock 19.

I can't speak for them all but I have worked on hundreds of the BrowninG Hi-Powers and from seeing them on the inside and knowing their reliability I can honestly say they are hare to beat.

Been several posts for Glocks...nothing wrong with that but I'd like to mention that all the great things about the G's can be found in the Smith & Wesson M&P 9, with the added benefit of spending your money on an American product. Also, unless Glock has done something with their triggers lately, I think the M&P's is nicer, and easily modded.

I use mine for CC and range use. I shoot whatever 9mm Para I have for plinking at the range, and switch to Federal 115G +p+ hollow points when it's time to think about why I own a handgun. I don't worry about the +p+ bullets because a) I almost never fire them and b) I isntalled a DPM recoil management system. It's a nice drop-in upgrade but it is a bit pricey though for what you are buying.
