P220 and a good 1911 are my picks. I'm interested in seeing how the p227 feels as well.

Yeah, im interested in the P227 as well. Im still waiting onbthe Max Micheal 1911 Max in 40cal.

I definitely would not mind trying a Sig in .45ACP. The problem I have with Sigs is the location of the slide release. Too high and back for my shooting grip style.

Ive been carrying my Taurus PT-145 for over 5yrs. Its a great compact 10+1 45acp. Im also a big fan of the 1911 and the FN FNX-45acp.

I think all the comments here from people carrying other .45s simply goes to show that, GENERALLY SPEAKING, all major firearm brands produce high quality firearms that do what they are made to do.

I don't envy trying to market a firearm in this context, trying to differentiate one's products from others.
