Yeah, the Federal bupk 525 has worked best for me so far, more reliably than MiniMags.

Though it still could be my gun, admitedly. I gotta keep experimenting with it.

How would the 36 grain CCI .22 LR HP Mini Mags perform in a semi auto pistol like a 22/45 or a buckmark? I prefer the round nose 40 grain but can't seem to snag a deal...

I like my Blazer 40 grain bulk pack either 500 or 525 rounds. They shoot a little dirty; but, love them for the accuracy.

The top ones I've used are the lead blazer 525 count, mini mags, and Remington high velocity that comes in the green 225 count. I've never had a single ftf/fte with the minimags.

Any thoughts?

Hossfly nailed it with the first answer if the gun won't shoot mini mags something is wrong. I prefer federal bulk ammo. Federal the best value for the money. When you shoot ammo that costs .03 a shot you are going to have some malfunctions. The cheap ammo malfunctions might be a good thing. You get used to clearing jams in a hurry. The practice will carry on to other guns. Speaking of reliability I can't remember the last time a mini mag or a stinger failed to fire. CCI ammo costs more and you get what you pay for. CCI ammo is reliable and accurate. Unless you are shooting a match with a bunch of great shooters CCI ammo will get the job done.

I picked up before the rush, 2 boxes of mini-mags and fired only 50 rounds. The accuracy was on the money and clean too. I had too pack away and save for that rainy day!

I was wondering if there were feed issues with the hollow point mini mags. The round nose feed great but I wanted to sang some of the HP 36 gr and didn't want to jump until I heard from the group.
