My gun shop has a Bersa .380 for sale for 249.00 ...I have no hands on knowledge of them at all as far as quality and reliability...Any input ?

The Bersa Thunder 380 is a great pistol. Similar to the Walther PPK, but better.... IMO.

My wife has one & I have the Concealed Carry .380. No problems with either. To be fair, some have found their .380 picky with ammo & it's suggested that, during break-in, don't stock up on just one brand of ammo until you make sure it cycles okay. After it's broken in, they usually will start handling anything.

There's a Bersa video where they run 1,500 -ish rounds through the gun NON STOP as fast as they can fire them. I got bored watching somewhere around 1,200 and heard they applied some cooling to the barrel. SWMBO has one and loves it. We're having a bit of an issue with one mag, and the factory has agreed to replace it. She wants to shoot it some more with some different ammo first.

Don't doubt a Bersa! They're great!

I've been using the Firestorm (Bersa) 380 as a daily carry for many years. I like the size of the gun and it's reliability. No, it is not a 9 mm, but is better concealed and offers good stopping power.

Plus, if one is not used to a snappy response from a 2" snubby S/W, or LCP ... the Bersa Thunder is a gun that you will practice with and enjoy shooting.

And, the prices of new/used are really good. I have 3 or 4 of them.

I bought mine, the two tone .380 model for 225. Its a great pistol for cc and 249 is still a decent price. See if you can talk them down a little.

I love those blued over nickel duo tone's. Sharpest looking pistols around. My Thunder 9 is like that.

To answer the OP, I don't have any personal experience with the Bersa 380, but their quality is even close to my Bersa Thunder 9, it's one of the best pistols you can buy at any price. And you can't beat their lifetime service contract. They stand behind their pistols better than most.

I have 2; one that I bought used will feed any ammo I give it, the other I bought new, has feed issues with any type of flat nose or hollow points except Powerballs. They shoot well and are great carry guns.
