Hey dude. I have owned the sub compact PX4 in 9mm and currently own the sub compact in .40
I sold the 9mm a while ago and really missed it. I was going to get another and I did. The 9mm was super. It shot great. I love the trigger and the feel in general.
It has a decocker that I find awesome. It allows you to carry loaded ready to fire in a safe double action trigger. With some research I found the double action pull weight is roughly 9.96 pounds.
The 9 carries 13+1 more than enough. It's small and when you hold it, it feels secure and very holdable.
The thing about the PX4sc is that it's a tad beefy. If you're gonna carry on the waist just know it's not one of those super slims. Your gonna know it's there. But for the money and the millions of 9s on the market. The Beretta PX4sc is among the top.
Loyalty can't be bought at any price;
but it can be rented remarkably cheaply.
I had a PX4 Storm sub compact and it was a decent addition to the PX4 series. When the Compact model came out I sold the sub compact as I found this new model with it's rotating barrel more to my liking. But getting back to the SC model it is a good reliable and accurate pistol. If you decide to buy one you'll be happy with it. I'd recommend checking out the compact though prior to buying.
I have the 9mm Compact version. Incredibly accurate. I have burned about 2000 rounds. My only complaint is that it won't eat inexpensive non brass ammo. There is a problem with clip that causes feed problems. I haven't shot the sub compact but would guess that what you give up in weight for the sub, you will also lose a little accuracy. I say look at both.
I finally got the SC... I can't wait to put hundreds of rounds through it... Happy shooting!!!
I've had my PX4 SC for over a year, and love it. Recently, Beretta USA came out with a Mag Adapter for the SC. It fits over the 17-rnd Mag for the Full Size PX4 that I have, and I can use those in my SC. The Adapter fills in the gap between the Mag Buttplate and the bottom of the Grip. It gives me a Full Size Grip when I want one.
