I am looking at purchasing my 1st hand gun, I have heard good things about Beretta and was looking a buying the Px4 in a 9mm. has anyone had any problems with this firearm. Also is it weather spending the extra money and getting the 90-two instead. Thanks you for you help.

I have the Px4 subcompact in .40 S&W and have nothing negative to say about it. I've owned Berettas and nothing but Berettas my entire life so I may be a bit biased but in my own opinion your definately have the right manufacturer. The only question between the two you have in mind is which one you can handle, and fire, better.

Have you looked into a stoeger cougar 8000? It is the Beretta 8000 made by Stoeger a subdivision of Beretta. Same Beretta gun different name. It is 1/2" in shorter then the PX4 and all metal. The best part is the price which is $1-2 hundred less than the original Berretta.


Can't go wrong with a Beretta!

thanks you for your answer i will look at it but i was aiming for a poly frame on the gun unless there is some thing majorly wrong with poly frames if i can get the budget that mite be the way i have to go. thank you again.

Another option is a used beretta 9000 S for $300. That is a poly and smaller than the PX4. I have been seeing more of them around at LGD. My brother has one and loves it. No problems with it at all.
