Default Beretta 92S or Colt 1911A1?

Which gun would ou prefer; the Berreta 92S or Colt 1911A1. I am deciding which one to purchase, and i know both are commenly used firearms. I know the Colt is a .45 ACP, but i would prefer the 9mm Berreta in that area.

Thoughts?
Comments?
Thanks!

You answered your own question.

The Beretta is kind of an ungainly thing for a medium caliber like 9mm but reliable. Myself, 1911 for 45ACP and a Hi-Power for 9mm. Extremely satisfied with both and have no need for anything newer. You can find Hi-Powers and of course other pistols in 40S&W (which might be another caliber to add to your list).

Both are great designs, but i think the 1911 is the superior handgun. Im sure alot of other people will agree.
