Cool, some people who like Beretta!! You don't hear them talked about much here. Doesn't anyone have the 96, though? I bought one in the 90's, and sold it, and I kick myself every time I think about it. Will be buying one again in the near future....

I've shot a 96, but I was never a 40 fan. I owned a PX4 in 40 once, buts old it to have some $ to go towards another gun. It was a sweet gun - only 40 I ever wanted to own.

I'll stick with the 92, though

I agree with Shipwreck on the .40 case. Way more expensive to shoot and you got less rounds. The stopping power is great but ill make up for it by puttin one extra in the a$$h0le w/ the 9mm.

Shipwreck, would you consider putting a suppressor on a Beretta? and if so, you know a website i can reference from for pricing on the barrel needed?

I'm not really an NFA item guy. I started to get a short barreled PS90 receiver a few years back, but CMMG messed up on their end of the paperwork and gave their expired FFL license #. After wasting 3 months and then they told me after I called to check on it, I just cancelled the order.

I have seen a handful of NEW 92s with factory threaded barrels on rare occassions at Houston gun shows.

As for help on suppressors and where to buy and such - talk to this guy:

He knows it all. He will help you - even with just gear recommendations.

I consider my 92s to be the backbone of my handgun collection. The

"go to" guns, accurate, dependable, look great, and just feel right...

I have a 96. Don't shoot it all that much, but it has been as reliable as my 92 when I have.

The 92 compact Type L has not been imported in over 10 years - but a new batch hit the USA a few months ago. I managed to pick up 2!

Since you have two and I don't have one, maybe you want to trade one for a Springfield Champion .45?
