The 92A1(and 96A1) have five mods from the standard 92FS:

1: Removable front sight.

2: Swept trigger guard

3. Captive recoil spring

4. 1913 accessory rail

5. Internal recoil buffer

NIB the 92A1 comes with three( 3 ) 17 round mags.

Aside from the fact I own one, this information is straight from the

Beretta homepage, but what do I know...

Shame on me. I was wrong, I misunderstodd my info. The recoil buffer is on both gun but it was designed to withstand the pressure of a .40 load. Sorry
