Were you referring to my post? If so, in my mind the best S***F gun is a popular gun. And one that the military is or has used in the past. Primarily for spare parts and one any 'smith' would work on. In a 'melt down' situation where our country goes to complete s**t you'll be glad you have such a firearm. The Beretta 92, any 1911, Ruger Mark series, a Remington 700 and 870 and Glocks meet this criteria.....of course this is my opinion

oh...and I've owned a CZ before....a P 01. Great gun...wish I never sold it.

Agreed, M92fs is the best handgun for SHTF, if you can only have one. Most common ammo, highly available parts.

Agreed! Also the massive circulation of this gun in millitary, police and civilian use makes it for readily available ammo & mags. This pistol, a 12G shotgun and a rifle that accepts AR-15/M-16 style mag and your pretty set. I think

Remmington 870, M92fs, AR-15, an Ak-47, a 1911 in .45 acp, and a partridge in a pear tree!

All, must haves, in my book.

Not that it would stop me from purchasing it at that price point, but what version of 92 is it? There are some 92 early verisons with known issues and other minor but noteable design changes. I have a 92FS and love it. Very comfortable to shoot and with the .40 upper I bought on E-bay, i can switch back and forth easily between 9mm and .40.

Do you guys have Italian made berettas or American made ones? Just curious if it matters to you. I myself bought the Italian version thinking it was the birthplace of beretta, it must be the best????

5272,

That is a good buy if the pistol is in any decent condition.
