Default Beretta 92/96 & plastic guide rods...

Can anyone provide feedback on Beretta's use of plastic guide rods in their 92/96 models? Good, bad or indifferent?

What kind of feedback are you looking for? If you want good, bad, or indifferent, I say bad. Plastic = bad. Metal = good.

I upgraded mine to metal but I did it just because the thought of plastic bothered me, but the plastic did it's job without failure so it was an upgrade of choice, not need.
