I understand your point. Personally, my father loves the .40, cuz he fells the 9 is to small, and the .45... He's not really sure. He loves the xdm .40, and it is a SWEET gun, but the .40 is just the .45 caliber bullet scaled down by a .13 of an inch. More velocity, less recoil, but also less grains.
