I like 1911s because they are fun to shoot.

The first guns I ever shot were Glock 19 and 17. Don't get me wrong, they were good guns and I did like them. I rented different guns when I went to the range to try out a bunch of different types of Glocks. The man there said if I could do that well with a 9mm, I might try increasing the caliber if I was comfortable. He said his daughter preferred a .40 and I might like it, too. I tried that out; wasn't too impressed. One day, while I was mulling over the choices at the counter, the lady there pulled out a 1911 (.45) and told me it was a really fun gun to shoot. I had never even heard of a 1911. I decided to try it out and my first five shots hit the center of the target. I liked the Glocks, but I loved the 1911. The lady was right; after that, I knew I was going to buy one.

I ended up buying a Springfield Armory 1911 (.45) in stainless steel. It is beautiful, enjoyable to shoot, and I personally am more accurate with it.

It is also worth mentioning that I take my dad to the range with me- he and I took a class together and we both shot for the first time then. He also tried out a bunch of different guns and I made him try out the 1911 as well. He now owns three.

I wasnt taking it serious bro, it was funny.. Reminded me of when i was working for the prison system, the medical ward always had some inmates on heavy doses of that stuff. They always did what we called the "thorazine shuffle".. Or the "zombie waddle" 
