I have one got issues with FTE with FMJ ammo...Only me?

FTE with FMJ?That would have to be your technique or your gun's extractor claw more than likely.

More then likely its technique. FTE/Stove piping is most common with limp wristing. Your grip should be 70% with weak hand and 30% with strong hand to compensate for recoil. (Hopefully this doesn't start a big debate on grip technique on the forum, just preaching what I know)
If you're confident in your ability to grip the gun correctly (your strong hand high as possible under the slide with both thumbs forward) then it could be an extractor problem. Before you go replacing, my recommendation to you is let a friend shoot it to see if its just you or the gun. What gun are we shooting by the way? And if you haven't done so, stop by the introduction section and tell us a little about yourself. And welcome to the forum!

Thanks for info, limp wristing? do not know I am 64 and 300 lbs, Grip a 1911 and rugar lcp 380 without eject issues. This arcus 98dac is new and I noticed when I took it home I had a shining mark on a little metal nub on the top of the barrel, most likely where the extactor strikes, I sand papered it because it was sharp to the touch on the left hand side{ where the extactor is} But if the problem was this strike then would it not occure always? Gun sometimes cycled the whole mag without a FTE.

I have a 98DA, 98DAC, and a 94C. The only issue I've had is feed issues with the mag that came with the 94C (it was used). When I use MecGar or the Argentinian hi-power mags, I have no problem with it either. I've even taken them apart and played with the springs and such, and have had no problems. I love em.

I have one in compact and one in full size. They shoot whatever I feed them. Great guns!

When it does eject where does the brass land? Always in the same place?

You said the gun is new, what is the round count?

I have not shot the Arcus but have only heard good things about them.

Thanks, sent gun back to arcus for repair, did not want to didle with the 2 year warantee. Problem had got worse plus I had spent shell cases with scrape marks on side. I don't know if this piece is good or not I like the feel of it but man she is a B-tch!

Feb 27 2013...This Arcus dac 98 is for the birds. Sent it back, worked o.k for a while. Then it all started again..FTF stove pipe. Wish I never bought it. Would sell it but can not sell a defective gun to anyone. Ordered an extractor/sping/pin and will replace myself. Gun is very clean, so not an issue with dirt. Toothbrush clean; removed extractor and was clean behind it. Maybe spring is weak who in hell knows! I say gun is crapola. If my fix works; out she goes. I read Mags are crap, only have factory mags, but I am not spending more on this yahoo.

They do have an appeal though. all steel no plastic...OLD SCHOOL. just wish it worked.
