Default Is anyone shooting a Ruger SR9 or SR9c?

I haven't' heard much about them except this week, Michael Bane commented that he shot one "out of the box" in the IDPA Nationals and really liked it. I've held one and sighted along it in the store, but haven't jumped on one because I haven't heard anything but advertising. They feel good in your hand, though heavy for a polymer pistol. I think all the recalls are over, so I wonder if they are worth the investment. Thanks for the input.

Plenty of satisfied owners on the various gun boards. There's even a few happy owners here, including myself.

I have the compact version and it's my primary carry gun. Great little gun, very accurate, extremely dependable, and very thin which works well for carrying. I'm 100% happy with mine.

Hey Olympus, is the trigger scratchy at all? A lot of the early reviews were knocking the trigger because it didn't seem smooth. I liked the feel of it myself, but have never fired one. When my daughter and I looked at pistols a little bit ago she chose the Kahr due to the comfort. I don't think that they had a Ruger there. I would have liked to compare the two. Enjoy. I may do some shopping again soon.

I had one but sold it to buy another pistol. Here's a review/report that I wrote on it: http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f66/range-report-ruger-sr9c-32266/

I don't notice any scratchiness at all. Just a nice, clean break.

You're welcome Dave. I almost bought another one for CCW, but decided to go with a Glock 36 so I can stay with .45ACP's.

Thanks again CA,

I'm kind of looking. I already have a Taurus 24/7c in 9mm, a Millineum Pro in 45 and a PF9 in 9mm so I really don't need another small one, but I'm always looking for something better. Keep shooting.
