I will be picking up an SR9c and a Marlin model 60 tomorrow. Can't wait to get to the range sometime next week.

I have a SR9C and love it. It's a very accurate and reliable gun. I have a Sig for edc, but I wouldn't bat an eye if I had to use the Ruger as an edc.
I actually try to ease folks toward the Ruger as a first gun gun choice.
Affordable, accurate, reliable, and a decent resale value if they decide to move up. Although I'm finding most just keep them if they buy another handgun.

I was looking at the SR40 at my LGS yesterday. Damn thing felt nice in the hand. I have read about them being so heavy but I didn't think so at all. I'm hoping the range has a rental. Nice feeling affordable gun.

Finally got to the range today. Put 100 rounds of FMJ through the SR9c and 25 rounds of Hornady jacketed hollow point. No issues ran perfect. Very impressed with how it shot and I can load the 10 round magazine by hand now. The 17 rounder is still very stiff but I am sure it will loosen up.

Also shot my new Marlin model 60. Put 100 rounds through that and no issues.

Very enjoyable couple of hours.

So i was going to buy an m&p 9c for an edc but im not sure after reading this. I have a ruger p345 and love it ........ how does the sr9c compare to the m&p 9c???

I can't answer that as I never shot the M&P. I shot rental guns of a Glock 19 and the SR9c and liked both, I just preferred the way the Ruger felt a little better. I would see if you can find a range that rents them and take it from there.
