Picked up my first gun a few months ago sr9 love the gun wanting to see what others where thinking. 150 rounds so far and no problems. It's the 4th gen with the d clip release. So what are your thoughts?

I held one today for the first time at Academy Sports. I like the feel of the gun in hand but haven't shot one yet. My local range has the compact for rent. I think I am gonna give it a try and if I like it buy the full size.

Great gun! I have an SR9 and love it! Maybe 1K rounds thru it and not one issue.

It has a adjustable back plate on the grip I just switched mine yesterday feels just like a 1911 except plastic. Can't wait to try shooting now. I tryed the glocks but the just didn't fit my hand as well. Plus the sr9 new was the same price as a well used glock locally. Waiting for a friend to bring a glock to the range so I can compare them because I really wanted the glock. Can never have to many guns. Ha

Not a single issue with mine. I love it. Check the recall on it, you get a free mag and trigger job if it is older.

It's a ruger so it's a good gun... My wife has the sr9c and she loves it. Shoots as nice as my glock and my sig 226

I have the Sr9c and love it. Mostly carry it with the 17 round mag, but sometimes have the 10 round in when can't have such a large print. Have about 500 rounds through it with no problems. Not a great group at 25 yards, but with the shorter sight radius and my own problems, not so bad. Up close (7 yards to 15 yards) might have one flyer out of 17 that, I'm sure, is my fault. Thought the double action trigger would be a problem, but it is better than the old .38 S&W duty weapon I used to carry when I was in the Security Police in the Air Force.

I would guess that I have 800 - 1000 rounds through mine with zero issues. Quite accurate and a real soft shooter.
