The price at my LGS is $300 for a 2009 Sig pro 2022 with 3/15 round mags.
I wondered the same thing about switching the gun back to DA/SA if I didn't like it.
I could practice with it while I saved for the change over.

Well, I can't speak for your economy, but for me 300,- USD is a bargain, taken into consideration that my (brand new) SIG P250 with the currently exchange rate cost me 1.300,- USD......

And that was with only 1 magazine,....

In my case I would have bought it faster than you could say American Express,....

Excellent,... we got the purchase, we got the picture, now all we need is the range report of how it shoots, and how the DAO finally feels like

Good for you! I'm envious of you. $300 is very nice. If you want help figuring out if this gun can easily be converted go to the sigforum.com.
I'm of the opinion that if you practice with any consistent gun, you will be able to learn to shoot it. I would have bought that gun for $300.

Took the Sig to the range on Saturday and put 5 mags (60 rounds) of WWB & Remington FMJ through it at 30 ft. Took a little time to get use to the DAO but I am very happy with the pistol. No problems with the function of the gun at all. The nose did like to flip up on firing till I brought my outside index finger up to grip the top of the trigger guard at the bottom of the barrel. I see why people like Sigs. This one is a keeper.

Yes, Sat was sunny and about 40F.
You could feel the cold in your fingers after the third mag. Of course we where the only ones at the range.
