Any ideas?
Alright, I just downloaded this app due to my first sidearm purchase. It has been years since I have been in the military and have fired any weapons! I just purchased a Walther PPQ 9mm (for $ reasons). Any tips for this weapon? All comments will be welcome, even the ****ty ones!

I would also suggest that you read the user's manual.

Read the manual inside and out and I am currently trying to find some time between work, school, and four kids to get to the range and brush up!

A friend just bought one and raves about the trigger but I know him to be a fan boy of the highest order so I'll need to shoot it before I can weight in on the PPQ.
Tack

First thing i would do is dissesemble and do a thorough cleaning. Even if brand new. Next would be to shoot 200 or so round for a good break in. The sight the gun for yourself. Should be ready to go. Clean clean clean, i am kind if a stickler for keeping my guns cleaned and oiled. Maybe a little obsessed...lol..
Most importantly have fun and enjoy.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

Another member here just got one, I got to shoot it about a week ago when we all went out popping skeets. It's a flippy little gun, but it settles back on target really well, and the trigger pull is one of the best I've felt on a polymer striker/DA or whatever action it is, extremely short reset. Jstrong can outshoot me and my new Springer mil spec any day of the week. It seemed like easily half of his shots were overlapping. With a 15 round mag at around 20-30ish yards he was making a ragged hole about 3 inches across.

The weapon feels great to handle, the best I have ever held. I have heard that it comes back on target pretty fast and if I upgrade my front sight it might even be faster but I could care less about that ****. I still have not found any time to go to the range or to even consider when to take my ccw course. I will post some pics tomorrow before work so you guys can see it. I have to admit, she is the prettiest damn sidearm I have ever laid my eyes on, but that's just me!
