Well you. Haven't said what your using, I shoot a lot of Tula that's the cheapest I found that I would shoot. Lots don't like it because it is steel cased but I have never had a problem with it.

I usually find that Winchester white box is cheapest where I live.

Walmart. They sell the Tula ammo. But I also can buy a 100 round pack of federal ammo for like $18. That's the cheapest I have found.

The Herters brand sold by Cabelas is often on sale at their stores. I buy it by the case. It is very good plinking ammo.

There are a bunch of brass FMJs that come in right around $10 per 50rds. WWB, Federal Champion/American Eagle, Blazer Brass, Speer Lawman, etc. I'm pretty okay with paying $9-12 for brass-cased 115gr FMJs, and will sometimes pay just a bit more for 124gr. My favorite among the cheapos is the WWB 100rd value packs. It tends to be loaded a little hotter than the rest and they're packed like sardines...thus occupying less space in storage/transport.

The Russian steel-cased stuff can be fine. I don't buy it because I'm happy to spend an extra buck or so per box (that's literally all the difference usually is) on an American made product that tends to be more reliable and healthier for the firearm. But plenty of people have had good enough luck with it.

Oh yeah! I forgot about those. I haven't bought any yet as I wasn't sure how good they'd be. In your experience is it a dirty round? And have you had many failures?

The American Eagle here when on sale is $12.50 everything else is higher except for Tula is $8 something so i. Can get 150 rounds of Tula for the same price of 100 rounds of American eagle. I wish they had 357mag, 44mag in Tula
