Alloy frame .45
About the only hole I have in my collection is a compact .45 with an alloy frame. Trying to decide whether I want a Sig 220 Compact (or a P245) or one of the many 1911s available in this category. I'm kind of leaning towards the Sig but I thought I'd ask for y'alls vote...

1 vote for the 1911 alloy because that's what I have.

While I prefer the full sized P-220, I think you have too many 1911's that you don't shoot already. Go with the Sig and add some diversity in your safe.

I voted 1911 . I know you like Sigs, but I'm not personally a fan of the DA/SA trigger transition. And I love my lightweight pre-70 series Commander.

This is very true. I suggest that NGIB send you and I each a 1911 of his choice to help balance his collection.

While the Sig is an outstanding pistol, I voted for another 1911. You can't go wrong with a 1911.

Actually fellas, I'm down to 3 1911s right now. The Caspian hybrid that will be host for the .460 Rowland. A Mil-Spec upgraded to about Loaded, and my Long slide...

I remember the days when I had only 3 1911's. That was so long ago.
Yeah, I voted 1911.

OK, I'm back up to 4 1911s now. Called my local store this morning and they had just gotten one of these in and I had looked at them before. It's a Springer Loaded Champion with alloy OD green frame & night sights. They made me a good deal on it so I just picked it up on my lunch hour. Here's a stock picture...
