I just couldn't resist the price and I wanted a full size high capacity .40 S&W with rail. Kind of hard to go wrong for $399 delivered so I ordered it this morning. I was tempted to get a .45 but I have to many now and I also have over 1000 rounds of .40 range ammo. This one has no lock or mag safety; however, I did get the thumb safety as it seems to be popular with folks (in case I don't like it and sell it). Stock picture from S&W...

Will there be a range report?

Surely will. Shihan is planning to visit the end of the month and I'll bring this one as well as some of the the other guns he may want to try out...

I thought the same thing about the 500rds of 9mm I had sitting around until I decided to sell it and finish my AR.

Much more fun to shoot it than sell it though! Besides, it gives me another place to hang my TLR-2 in case I want to go mall ninja tacticool (or have a well equipped nightstand gun)...

I'm thinking on one, but I may save up for a CZ.

Do they make a CZ Sp01 in .40? I want a full size with a rail.

The only way for me to be comfy with plastic was to have an external hammer. GTHe Browning Pro/FNP was the path I took.

My reasoning for having guns in .40 is pretty simple. I want the flexibility to keep shooting even if we have another ammo crunch. When we had the shortage a while back, .40 was about the only ammo you could get. Since it's the defacto ammo for LE, there will always be some around somewhere...
