Why? It's not like it's been lying dormant for a long time in dire need of resolution.
What round for SD?
Start with one that functions reliably in your gun. Everything else is secondary.

People can split all the hairs they want, but it's quite likely that any of the standard SD rounds available will do the job just fine. "Oooo look, an extra 1/4" of gel penetration, way cool. Pretty expansion petals too. Gosh."
Uber tactical guy's Ultra Gnarly Nitro Operator Turbo SRT/STi +P+ isn't probably all that much more effective than a humble box of Winchester Ranger when it comes to actual use.
I maintain that a bad person center punched with a modern self defense round will be unhappy. The degree (& duration) of that unhappiness will be more dependent on the marksmanship that delivered it than subtle nuances of bullet design or differences if 40 or 50 FPS. YMMV.

If you find a "bump" you should go to your doctor for biopsy.

Speer Gold Dot, Glazer Safety Slugs,RBCD, Corbon XDP, or Winchester PDX1 would be perfect. Ive carried quite them and shot pigs with them and they are "champione". Best way to see what they do to people is to go out and shoot hogs.

I hear alot about the winchester pdx1. That's not the same as the ranger t is it? I mean from what i see online don't you get a lot more expansion with the rangers. And at a cheaper price. 35 for a box of 50. Not lookin for an argument guys just lookin for some info.
