something I read a while ago is that the friction of the bullet material for some reason makes a difference...the old lead bullets didn't expand, but were more effective on live targets when compared to jacketed ball ammo. It appears the lead bullet damaged more tissue and probably created a larger permanent wound cavity I guess because of the difference in friction??

I have several different loads I shoot out of my .45's. I like the Hornady Critical Duty 220 +p. Especially at they killer price I get them at. I also have Winchester PDX1 and Hornady TAP. I am confident any of them will get the job done when they impact where they should.

I've had a lot of success with Hornady Critical Duty and Federal Guard Dog. However, I have hope that a new round from G2 Research, the R.I.P. round, will be even better at not over-penetrating walls but give good energy transfer. There may also be a promising round by LeHigh Defense, the Maximum Expansion (ME) round. These last two are on order and just waiting arrival.
