If I traded in or sold the sigma, I could get in a week or two.

But im never selling it. Its a great gun for me. I call it my glock G16 & 3/4. ( almost a Glock 17) lol
Given the option I try to never sell or trade for another I regret the two that I got rid of.You're going about it the right way kudos.

Ohh and 9mm only
Smith and Wesson m&p 9. Changing the mag release from left to right takes about 20 min as long as you study the manual a little. The slide release is already ambidextrous, and I don't carry guns that have safeties except my 1911 and pk380, which neither has a no safety option. But that's just my opinion on the subject.

I have $1,000 handguns, but I also have 2 SP2022's. I think they are great handguns, and I carry one everyday.
The controls are not ambi, but the mag release button can be switched over to left hand. It is in the user manual.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. I shot my .40 SP2022 this weekend. It is always a joy.

It is a good choice, I am sure you will be pleased.
If you don't like it I will buy it from you.

I would suggest that you change the guide rod to a stainless one. I did this to both of mine. It is not something you HAVE to do though. I just did it because I do not like the thought of moving polymer parts inside the gun.

I wish Sig would pay me a commission for selling these. I have two buddies that have bought one after they have shot mine. Another buddy plans too to buy one after he shot one of mine this weekend.

It really is a very good handgun for a great price.

I would wait and save a few hundred more and buy something you want. Just my $.02.
