Because they're ugly as heck (okay, okay...that's purely my opinion) and don't benefit from the massive support (ie- easily and affordably acquired parts and accessories) of Glock, XD, and S&W M&P.

I know plenty of people that like them however, so in a sense your're right- it's probably a gun that deserves mention. But for the aforementioned reasons, it wouldn't be among my top 5 reccomendations.

And just like the 92, they built the gun twice as large as they had to.

Funny, that's exactly what I dislike about the M9/92. Good gun and all, and a classic. But the bulky size and controls just seem unnecessary. That's specifically why I prefer the sleeker BHP and CZ 75.

Because you can buy a Glock, XD, or M&P for less that will shoot better and more reliable. I've never shot a px4, but I have OWNED a 92 inox, not impressed.

Colt, Springfield, and Browning are classics, but the beretta 92 is barely a classic. It is big and bulky, not the best for
combat purposes or ccl.

Go to a range that rents guns, try a bunch, then pick the one that is most comfortable for you and shoots the best for you

Another good firearm for your consideration would be the Ruger SR40. I love my SR9 as the grip angle is quite comfortable. I have a little over 1000 rounds through my SR9 without a single fault. American product and plenty of customer service and reputation to back it up...
