Default .380 advice

Hello everyone,

I was just trying to get some advice. I have a 9 mm now and was thinking of picking up another handgun. My question is .380 or .45 , and does anyone make a larger .380 ? Would like to stay under $600 if possible. Thanks for any help you can give

I believe the 380 is sister to a 9mm. I'd go instead with a 45. I have both, 380 & 45. Love 'em!

The only larger .380 I know of is the B9R that is a Hungarian made Browning Hi-Power clone. They can be had for under $300.

I just remembered that Bersa makes a double stack version of their Thunder .380 so that's on the larger side as well.

.380ACP is not the round or firearm I would want for IDPA or USPSA competition.
Some .380's would not work good for 200 yard silhouette shooting.
It may work for the "Centerfire" portion of Bulls-eye shooting.
.380 may not be the best choice against a 150# wild pig.

So, what were you going to do with the caliber you select?

I picked up a brand-new Hi Point 380 CF for $139.00.
This gun is on a large frame and it shoot fine.
