Default $375 for a RIA 1911? Duracoated?

This is the least expensive i have seen the RIA marked. It says that this one is duracoated.

Any opinions on this one? for myself and others?

Anybody bought from classicarms lately?

Classic had a good reputation on other boards. Never bought from them before. As for the Duracoat, I'm not a fan.

Not sure that RIA actually had a factory duracoat. Their finish is similar, but more of a parkerized one. I'll have to dig more on that.

Looks like a great price if Classic is still getting good reviews.

I've used duracoat, and had no problems with it at all. Depends heavily on prep work to the surfaces.
Ammo is expensive. Do NOT expect a warning shot!

I don't see what is so "special" about the duracoat

I purchased an AK from them late last year. The gun was exactly as advertised & quick service/shipping. I would buy from them again based on my experience.

Yeah assuming all of their claims are true, that's a steal. I'd jump on it. .... Jump on it! Jump on it! .... Now that song is stuck in my head..
