.357/.38special windicator
Just purchased a 357/38 special online at auction but I don't fully understand what the discription said it told me its a single/double action what does that mean ..... Stupid question I know but iv never owned a pistol before thanks for your patience

Basically, you can cock the hammer and release it with the trigger (single action) OR you can let the trigger cock the hammer And release it (double action). My revolver, Ruger GP100, works the same way, as does my semi-auto pistol, a CZ75b.
The cowboy guns that are twirled and such would be single action, so their trigger does nothing until your thumb cocks the hammer. |
Hope this helps.

Yeah that sheds some light on the situation I just didn't know if I had bought a gun that I'm not gonna enjoy shooting

The Windicators are awesome handguns. I think you will like it. People say EAA's customer service sucks, but it isn't that bad and you will probably never have to deal with them. I've owned 5 EAA firearms and they've all been golden. Happy and safe shooting! |
Lol yeah it was nice lol and it was a change from pace the last gun I got was a model 37 Winchester 30-30 12 shot
