if its all the pistol you can handle then yes. personally i want something bigger but a that would be better than a .22, and way better than nothing... recently shootings have been in the news with .22 causing deaths

"Is .25 ACP of any use for self defence ? "
The only answer is yes.
Is it the best choice? No
Would I look down on you if the 25 was your choice? No

Would rather shoot someone with a .25 and piss them off, than throw a rock and really piss them off.

ive carried a beretta 25 for years... better than nothing and esp in hotter weather... sorta like carrying a cell phone, a little heavier... lately ive been carrying a taurus 380 and a beretta nano 9mm... i think you might be better served with a higher cal. there are several 380's that are great for pocket carry... lot of it, is what you are comfortable with... and if you can run after you shoot someone with the 25

Thousands of military and police carry them for deep cover back up.
a .25 between the eyes is better than a .45 in the gut.

I read about a cop who shot a guy 17 times including the final three in the head that were finally fatal, he was using a .40 cal.
...yea talk about spray and pray.
