Default .22lr bug?

I am buying a used .22LR Taurus semi-auto.

I know .22LR doesn't get much respect as far as a CCW caliber but would this little gun make a good BUG?

I already have a PT-1911 .45 ACP,an EAA Windicator .357 Mag, and soon a .38 Special Cobra Derringer.

As a CCW BUG I think it only has two issues;
Its a 22lr and,
Its a Taurus
Fix those two things and I think you will be OK. .22lr bug? - Semi-Auto Handguns

You're probably going to hear a lot. I always figure it's better to have the gun than not. My BUG/Deep conceal is an NAA Pug(22 Win Mag). Fits in my pj's pocket-
Good luck.

ive gone through a LOT of small 22lr handguns and only two small ones ive found that are about as 100% as a 22lr can be made to function is the the old manhurin walther ppk/s 22lr and the bersa thunder 22lr. ive never found any 22lr semi smaller than the ppk profile to be functionally reliable. larger than the ppk profile opens a lot of doors

i had a taurus 22lr of the type your looking at. skip it.

if you gotta go small in a 22lr i hate to say it but a DA revolver is the only option short of bersa or walther. then you only have to worry about primer ignition.

i shoot a LOT and i mean a LOT of 22lr well over 100k rounds a year prolly closer to quarter million. i wouldnt trust a 22lr any brand ammo as a backup. just based off primer ignition issues, even with top shelf ammo brands.

The smallest BUG I carry is .380.
I have a PPK/s in .22, but I used it to train my right hand girl, then gave her a .380 PPK/s.
