22 magnum pistols
Why are there not more of these?
I know there tend to be feeding issues, but why? If a 22lr can do it, why not the 22mag?

I only know of the kel-tec, it may be because with the short barrel you cannot get full use of the cartridge.

The 22 mag is probably too hot for a blow back without getting into a very heavy slide so you have to get into a center fire type of action. There are a couple of auto loading pistols out there besides the Kel tec but they have not been popular. It seems to be relegated to revolvers where it has about the same power as a 22lr in a rifle.

I have a Automag 2 ,great feeding and shooting pistol,a real flame thrower.9+1 rounds.Counts as a rimfire in our pin shoots.Draws a real crowd at the range.

If the barrel is 6" or more - a 22 Mag pistol has the same velocity as a 22 LR Rifle.
Short barrels - flame throwers
42% one shot stops - not bad for 40 gr.

Semi-auto and .22WMR are not friends...
I've got a few of the .22WMR semi-auto's that actually WORK...and want the Keltecs when they quit selling at twice MSRP...
Meanwhile, I've got...
Grendel P-30 & R-31
Marlin 922M
Looking to eventually end up with the Keltec PMR-30 & RMR-30, and the H&R 700...
I've posted about the other firearms that attempted to use .22WMR, but frankly, they all fail in comparison to the Grendels, Keltecs, & Marlin/H&R...
The AMT Automag II has serious issues, you either get a good one or a doinker...odds are not good...
the 1022M is the same way...with way more doinkers than good ones...
the Accel Excellerator ended up not being as good as the hype...and expensive as heck...
etc...etc...etc...
Best bet, hope New Marlin (Remlin) will eventually remake the Camp Series...9/45/922M
Scuttlebutt is that if Romney Wins, the chances of a hi-cap Camp series return would be worthwhile...
if Obama wins, forget ever seeing them again...Bill Clinton's AWB killed 'em last time...
the UN SMall Arms Treaty will kill 'em if Obutthead gets in again...

My AMT Automag II shoots like a champ,no issues, once you get used to the much narrower frame and grip.
