Ever seen a 22 round magazine for a 1911?

I will use this to do night duty in my Glock 23C or model 32, when 13 rounds should be enough, but one never knows.

Does a 1911 have 13 round magazines?

This, and about a thousand other reasons, I choose Glock over the century's past Colt.

40 rds of 45 ACP.

Can you get a 40 round mag for your 45 ACP GLOCK?

Also, STI makes both a 11+1 and a 14+1 1911 in 45 ACP.

Para Ordinance also makes double stack 1911s that hold 14+1.

I own 4 Glocks, currently no 1911's. Here is one Glock and some mags. Glock 20 10mm.

Here they are together: 23C, 32, 20SF, 20

Magazines are one of the main things in a 1911 that will give you problems. Get some good mags and keep your gun clean and lubed and you're good to go. That said im from the new school and love the polymer wonders. Get yourself a glock as your main defense handgun then a 1911 to show off and be your prized possession. Sorry old schoolers, lol

I do admit, that awhile there are double stack 1911s out there, its gonna be usually cheaper to buy a Glock than a 1911 (if you're looking for capacity). And the Glocks are prolly more concealable.

BUT. My point as that there are, in fact, high capacity 1911s out there.

I just missed a P-14 at a LOE for 470 ish. Purchased the Glock 32 instead.

I tried.

I only own a 1911. I'll probably get a GLOCK someday, but I doubt it would hold a candle to my 1911. It's not that I don't think GLOCKs are good guns (I think they are pretty good guns), it's just that they are fugly as hell, and the gun just doesn't appeal to me like so many others do. The safeties on it don't really appeal to me either.

It is fun to screw with the fanboys every once in awhile though.

I just got the bag, it is going back. I need a range bag that holds more than four pistols. Also, there is no place for ammo in this bag.
