That both are pretty tough and rugid weapons. It's just one is made for stopping power and reliability while the other is made for reliability and extreme safety ( pardon my spelling)

Well that definitely sells me on the 1911 if the glock=the PC given all the problems we have in our office with the failure prone, virus attracting PCs compared to the Macs! ;-)

and there is nothing wrong with both STYLE and FUNCTIONALITY! My 1911 shoots just as straight as any glock, has a history of 100 years, and is highly respected as a weapon. I'm not knocking Glocks although I have no interest in owning one, but you should recognize that some of us like 1911s for reasons other than shiny, expensive and pretty.

I would go to slickguns.com and search for what you want, When you find it print it out and go to your local gun stores and offer a 15% priemum over the slick guns price.

When doing so the dealer knows you are not going to pay out the butt and will normally get you what you want - - - - it is amasing to watch him pull a new gun off the shelf and drop the price by $150.00 - - - when you come back later they don't even try the high prices again.

Here is just one to show what they have.

Rock Island .45 1911 Compact CSP Part - $389.99 | Slickguns

Yeah that crap doesn't fly in Cali. I wish it did, but no. Most local shops will tell you to go pound salt and buy it somewhere else, with that method anyways..

It works at some gunshops, at worst, you justwoke use slickguns or buds to know what a workable price would be, and walk from a deal if it's not good enough. Some guns i've seen on buds more than pay for the shipping and fees.

With slick guns shipping is free over $100.00 and we have a local shop that will transfer for $10.00 but I always give him the option of matching the price + 10%

Normally he will get it in for me and I prefer to do business locally.
