I am 6'2" and 260 lbs and I conceal a full size 1911 very easily.

It is not a problem to conceal a 1911 when one wants to do such.

As to which gun?

Well, do you want functionality with looks and durability or do you want plastic with a reputation for KA Booms that is ugly, looks like a kids water pistol but works.

The 1911 is ergonomically correct on the grips. The Glock is not.

Glock bought their popularity and has undergone four changes in it's 25 yr history. The 1911 is 100 yrs old and still the basic gun as it was designed and is built by almost every gun maker.

Not a tough decision for me. I have seven 1911 guns and three Glocks. It has been over two yrs since I even carried a Glock to the range.

Chevy or Ford?? Test drive a 23 and a 1911. See which one you can handle better. You just need to dress around the gun.

Two completely different platforms when it comes to guns but a 600.00, you can buy a top of the line new glock and I don't think you ca get a good compact 911 for that price. I love the 1911's but I'm a Glock Man and I have 4 of them. My main carry gun is the .45 G36. This gun holds about the same amount of rounds as the 1911 but for reliability, easy to maintain and overall performance, I think the Glock is the best choice. I love the Glocks!

Get a glock 21. I had to make the same choice between 1911 and glock 21 and I'm glad I chose the glock. It holds more and you can pull it out and be ready to shoot if you get a new model with the safe action trigger. I am 6'2" I weigh 130 and I could easily conceal one but I dont.
