I wanted to find out this right quick, so the the first shells I put through it were the cheapo bulk Remington golden bullets. These are widely known to be the crappiest rounds out there and jam most semi-autos. Other than a couple of rounds that were just duds, it ran through them like they were match grade ammo. I even reloaded the duds and tried to fire them again and yep they were duds. So, in my very short experience with the Browning 1911-22 I would have to say no it is not picky.

The Remington Golden Bullets work well in my Sig Sauer 1911 22LR and Bersa Thunder 22 pistols as well as my Remington Speedmaster 552 rifle (semiauto).

What's the point of you questioning us if you don't own one? We all have our own opinions. I swear by my 9mm 1911. This question is like saying whats the point of having an ar15 in 300 aac or 7.62, wasnt designed for them but it works.

Off on a tangent, but how many ppl here own ONLY 1 1911 chambered in "other than" .45? Meaning; it's the ONLY 1911 you own and it's not in .45?

Because my thought is that the "1911 experience" can be a bit pricey in terms of ammo costs alone so it's good to have a secondary 1911 to offset...yada yada...
