Call them, and talk to a staff person.

Same here. I sent letters and emails to each of the reps in both state and federal government. from my local state rep, to the governor, the senators, the congressmen...

all of them are republicans and all of them said "I believe in the 2nd amendment and I will not vote to infringe on the 2nd amendment in any way"

...except for one. Mr. Brown. His response was flighty, dodgy, and basically said "thank you for your opinion, I will be sure to carefully consider the impacts of any legislation and vote in a manner that best suits the people of Ohio"

I got the same response. one I really liked was the guy from out west that put three bills in that were barring feds from coming in his state. I got updates from him all the time. Kroeker that was his name, can't remember his state now. I think if they want your support they get back to you, if you are actually an opponent they have no need to correspond with you.

Maybe, but you would think that they would want to gain support. Noboby wants to lose their job.

If any kind of ban passes here I may have to pick up and move to Texas.

And let them win? The citizens of new York state are making their voices heard by passing resolutions which nullify the safe act. Not to mention the safe act, which was pushed through in under three days, which was illegal.
