Default Info on Deer Creek range?

I am new to firearms and in Galloway, OH. I had planned to practice at the range on Big Darby outside West Jefferson, but Battelle has them shut down during a lawsuit.

It looks like the next closest range in my area is Deer Creek. Have any of you been to the range, and what are the facilities like?

I'd like to meet with other members and learn more about the art of marksmanship as well as personal protection.

Thanks in advance,
Sean

Are you familiar with the Black Wing Shooting Center, just west of Delaware on route 36? Granted, it is 35 ~ 40 miles from Galloway. Just throwing it out there, since you have had no reponse.

I know of it, from friends and commercials. I heard that it's a good place to rent firearms to test out. I was actually looking close and inexpensive for a group of us to go to in early May.

I go to deer creek all of the time. It is a nice place to go. You can get a range pass online and bring it with you. If your still interested I can send you the link.
