I'm no expert at the law but I would saw 'yes.' Our (Ohio's) carry permits are firearms only. They are very fun though. I use to toss those around a lot in my younger years. Dreams of being a first rate ninja take practice.

Asking for legal advice on the internet is only marginally worse than seeking medical advice.

I would check your state and local laws. It's been a long time since I lived up there but it seemed carrying them back when was a no no.

#1, why would you want to?

#2, I'm guessing your liberal state would throw you in jail.

Same concept you have to worry about with firearms - what is beyond your target. This is even to a greater extent with a throwing star. Ever thrown a frisbee or any disk shaped object? They are highly unpredictable unless you have really practiced with them.
Drop the thoughts.

I'm thinking pocket carry would be pretty tricky...

Sounds like a less-than-wonderful idea to me.
