Default I love NY!!!

Its both heartening and a bit scary JJ! Not scary that folks that could legally own something our entire history as a state decided not to abide by a new order from King Andy to forget history. Just Scary to guess what Andy is going to do about it. If he doesnt take action soon, its like he's nullifying his own law so Im sure he will act, just not sure how.

My guess is he will offer up an amnesty period and see if he can scare citizens into compliance. That might capture another 10% of those that felt regret after they missed the original deadline but its not gonna change minds of the others that feel they have been violated by our Gubenor and his random Laws.

For those that dont come from NY and dont know, Heres some other 95% stats that validate the overwhelming opposition to "The Safe Act" in most of our state.

-Shortly after the ramming of the SA up our arses, 95% of County Executives in NY stood up and said their citizens dont support it and neither do they. Beside most of those county Executives stood our County Sheriffs saying the exact same thing.

--Since then, 95% of the violations and prosecutions of SA crimes have been in those few highly congested (<5% of our actual mass) areas that contain the sheep that still show some support the SA!

--- Soon, 95% of the 5% that did register will come under fire from King Andy and his dwindling band of loyal soldiers. When they die, if they experience mental anguish and seek help, if they are accused of a crime, if the SA gets updated to ban their registered weapon, if they get caught with 8 rounds in their magazine (so many ifs, so few registrants), the prize patrol in blue will show up at their door and retrieve what is now the States Property.

----The estimated 95% of those that did not register was not a ballpark estimate. These are weapons owned by states residents that were traced to NY, they know they were here and sooner or later, they will come looking for them. If anything, they vastly underestimated the real numbers because prior to the SA, cash in hand sales, trades and gifts left few to no traces for them to count.

When "The Hunt for Red New Yorkers" begins, all hells gonna break loose. The 95% and many others not counted in those stats know they are labeled by their Governor as Felons today even if they were fine upstanding citizens the day before the SA was foisted up the pole. They already violated one law that comes with harsh punishment associated with violation. Some will call it a day, turn in their weapons and lose their 2a forever at one law broken. I fear many others will appear to take on the persona that our POS Governor has painted them with to protect that which they believe is worth dying for.

This same thing happened in Boston.
"Seventy-two killed resisting gun confiscation in Boston!

Boston – National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

On July 4th, 1776 these same extremists signed the Declaration of Independence, pledging to each other and their countrymen their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Many of them lost everything, including their families and their lives over the course of the next few years.

Lest we forget…"

That's pretty much the results I have expected since day one.

I was hoping for even lower registration, but I guess I can't really complain. I think quite a few people had work related reasons they had to register.

That and all legal firearms in the NYC area are already registered. Can't hide what they already know about, now can ya? Also, some are just not willing to risk jail time, and run the risk of getting caught for a felony, or they had someone with a place outside of NY to store it for them. I myself moved the items that were wrongly labled, and some of my handguns, to a friend's place in PA with one of my safes. Soon as i signed on the place I live now, she and I moved it over to the new house, and installed it.

The room mates moved in the next morning, and the wife and i followed 5 months later when school let out. nothing NY could say about it as one of the options was to move them or sell them out of state. As soon as some of my friends found out I was moving here, they asked if I would house theirs until they could get the law repealed, or they exit to the West as well.

I now run a refugee camp for MSRs, MSSs, and MSPs, complete with cleanings, care, and a safe place to sleep for all of them. Their owners come down here, pick them up, and go to the range down here. They just swing by to visit with me afterwards.

I think all good people should relocate if possible or retire and move out of NY. And sentence the state's liberals to eternal bankruptcy. Let those anti American crocks rot in their own democratic socialist squalor. I think some of it is already starting to get their attention with the "Free Tax" offers on TV for companies to locate in NY. So if that is the case you all keep up the good work! May be working?
As far as I am concerned the majority of them not complying seem to be acting like real Americans should act. Resisting a Tyrannical Government! In the Revolutionary War there was only about 3% that stood up for their freedom while others were sheep. Sound familiar? There no doubt will be some serious problems in NY and a battle if Cuomo peruses this idiotic attack on American citizens rights. I support them 100%.
For those of you who are not Dem. Socialists come on and move south to the real America and personal freedom. For those who are they should stay where they are! We do not want to contaminate and F--U-- the south or the midwest!
