Genesee county pistol permit
Genesee county has been less restrictive in the last year or so. When I got mine 4 years ago you can only recieve a permit for hunting/target use. If you wanted to carry you have to write a letter explaining why, and go before the judge for a chat. And then was still likely to get declined. There is also a 5 pistol limit. If you want more the same process would need to take place. This year they are now offering unrestricted permits. But there is a catch. You have to have had your permit for 5 years and not gotten into any trouble. On the good side its as simple as filling out a form and waiting a month. It's a sure thing now, no one has been declined. Also as for the pistol limit. I have discovered it's the same. When the need arises to add more pistols over the 5 all you need is to fill out a form and the CLERK approves you. After 10 you still need to stand before the judge, but this is a giant step in the right direction for genesee county. Just thought I would post this info for those of you who may be interested.
