Yes, it's long.....4-6 months now. What town are you in, some are better than others.

Ahh don't tell me that! Haha, I live in Marlton (south jersey) next to cherry hill...friend of mine said it took almost two months for his, but his brother is a NJ state trooper I don't know if that made the process easier for him...just wanted other people's experience!

Thank you
-Armand

I applied for a P2P on december 7, 2012. I picked it up on February 5, 2013. Almost 2 months to the day.

It all depends on what town you are in. Some are taking 6 to 9 months, so much for the 30 day requirement in the law. I was lucky, applied for FID and 4 P2Ps on Jan 15th and had them on Feb11th. But I live in a Republican controlled town

What sucks even more is the stinking OGAM (one gun a month law) and the "INSTANT" nics checks which are now taking close to two weeks.

Well I'd just like to say I received my ID and permit last Tuesday June 4th!! I already bought a 9mm after a good amount of time researching. I had purchased the FNS-9 awesome gun even though I did not fire it yet...I am currently waiting AGAIN for the NICS background check.

Apparently it takes up to 6-7 days an they hold my gun for me even after I purchased in full....ugh what else are they going to do to make me wait even longer!
