yes NJ is a great state to live in if you like jumping through hoops to purchase a weapon.... if it were up to me i would have moved to Delaware long time ago but convincing the wife to move is another story...

Tough call. It sounds like you feel you'd be pushed to the bottom of the pile of you call and bug them for an update. Well if they told you "3weeks" them you might as well wait those out and then reach out after. That's what I would do. But that's me.

ok update I have been waiting over 18 weeks now for my address change to comeback. I have called once a week and every time I call the trooper in charge is never in or is out to lunch or just left for the day... I am at my wits end over this.. is there anyone I can contact to get something done... this is just crazy a law abiding person can not get his F.I.D. renewed but the criminals have plenty of guns...

thanks for any input

Sorry to say I don't have answers, I'm in AZ so I really feel for ya'll in the states that are polar opposites to us w/ firearms. I mean that. The loops other states put perfectly law abiding citizens with knowledge of how to handle a firearm borders on, and sometimes crosses into being pure insanity.

You can always move here

Mahalo,
Laura

Call the Chief, that doesn't work call the city council, then the Mayor, then your Assemblymen and Senator. All else fail find a lawyer to file a morion to enforce the "shall issue" clause if the law. If you haven't already done so join the New Jersey 2A Society.

Senate will be holding hearing on the bills Sweeney introduced today. Show up and testify about your experiences with a simple address change.
