You had a Ma FID?? If you have a domestic violence conviction or assault conviction in NH, you will be denied. A State or federal felony charge will also get you denied. Not sure what you issues are, but see if your lawyer can get your record expunged.

Nope- no domestic violence. Only conviction I ever had was misdemeanor drunk driving( oui) in Lowell back in 1998.

I have not been to Riley's in years. I have also found them to be rude, and unless you wave $100's in front of them, not interested. I was ready to buy a gun the last time I was in there, and they wouldn't talk to me. I went to Pete's in Hudson.

Well, you know. It's a long haul from where I live now, and there are 3 or 4 gun shops very near me. Currently, my goto gun shop is Lees II in Amherst. Bob's a very nice guy, he'll get anything you want, and always has something interesting in there. Check him out.

OP.

have you contacted the ATF? If not, you should, and be sure to mention the lost 4473.

Does the ATF care about any of that?

I'd imagine they would.

Did a lot of business with Riley's over the years that I lived in NH, practically next door at Granite Hill.

If you have issues with the help, ask for Ralph. He is the owner and a heck of a good guy. I had issues with his former partner & proceeded to rip him a new one (using socially correct terminology) in the middle of his store and yes the deal did go my way at the end of that. The partner has since retired.

Old Man Riley who opened the place was a former NRA president and a real good guy and that is who Ralph learned the business from.

If you can't get satisfaction after speaking with Ralph, then write them off.

I work in a gun shop / shooting range in Arizona and C3Shooter has it exactly right, the NICS does NOT ever tell the LGS anything except "Proceed", "Delay" or "Denied".
