Dan Wesson .357 Mag
Picked this baby up today at the Cross Roads show in Reno. Excellent condition, 6" barrel, Monson produced. Excellent trigger in both SA and DA. Can't wait to get her to the range!

IMHO, the most underappreciated revolver there is. Have had one since 1976. Built like a tank- durable, reliable, extremely accurate, great triggers. Deer hunt with one with a 10" heavy vent rib- shoots like a carbine. I think you're gonna like that one.

The title caught my eye. Dan Wesson! I just happen to be a big fan, can't get enough of them. I have 15 DWs, 13 .357 mag., one 22lr and a .357 super mag. I spend a lot of time over on that forum. I may break some rules if I posted the link but you can probably figrue it out.

Here's the new DW 357 lined up with a S&W 586 (no dash), Ruger Police Service Six, and S&W 657PC. Not shown is my 686+, which my cousin "borrowed" and maybe forget where it's home is!
I have a small but growing collection of Dan Wessons (all pre-CZ, most are Monsons):
357 Mag
357 Maxi
375 Super Mag
445 Super Mag
44 Rhino
460 Rowland
Pointman 1911
And with a little luck I'll be adding a post-CZ Guardian 1911 for my birthday! Just need to decide between 9mm and .45acp. I really love the .45acp caliber but I already have 4 1911s and 3 revolvers in that caliber and maybe it's time to diversify my 1911s a bit. My other .45acps are: SW1911PD, Kimber Tactical Entry II 1911, Kimber Royal Classic 1911, the DW .460 Rowland, S&W Governor, S&W 325 Night Guard and S&W 625JM.
And now also on the hunt for another barrel or two for the 357. Just need to find my darn barrel wrench!

Nice! I would sure like an older DW revolver. Are they less or more expensive on the used market than S&W's?
Just looked it up myself...this is the one I'd like. http://www.gunauction.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=9491504

You can go to Gun Brokers auction to see the value of the older Dans. All of my Dans were made in the '70s and early '80s. All of mine are blued except the recent purchase of the .357 Super Mag. On Gun Brokers you can expect to pay $350-$500 for average blued .357 mags. Other calibers are more, up to $1,000, some even more when you get into the large frame calibers. I have one early Dan with a serial number of 70. I have another just like it with a 4 digit number. 8 of 14 of my dans are "porkchop" model (models D-11, W-12, 14,15.) I do have a couple of 15-2. And there is the Super Mag. The thing is so large it needs wheels on it. It's beautiful gun but I think I may have one I'm not too fond it. I wish I knew how to post pictures. If I continue to post on this forum I will need to learn how in self defense.

Register with ImageShack ( http://imageshack.us/). Free and there doesn't seem to be the SNAFUs that I see with people using PhotoBucket. When you feel you've gotten the "knack" for posting photos, use the Direct Link at ImageShack. You just put the [img] tag in front of the link and the [/img] tag at the end of the link.
So [img] http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/497/2inthechest1intheheadan.gif [/img] (I put spaces before the tags as an example. Don't put spaces.) will give you this:
