My G22 is like yesterday's PC. Works great, does everything asked unremarkably and not one damn thing more! It's like a Fox body Mustang or an old F150 PU, a workhorse that's ugly as a red headed stepchild. You know, like Herpes or cheap luggage, once owned, they're impossible to get rid of! Ask me what I really think about tupperware sometime.
And don’t you mooks say one disparaging word about Colt 1911’s or I’ll be waitin’ in the weeds for you!! I have a scope!!

I rented a Glock 17 to try out, I shot well with it but I hated almost everything about it (the trigger feel, the shape of the grip, etc.). It didn't have any jams and it did hit where I aimed, but it just wasn't for me.
I'm a revolver guy, and there are very few semi-autos that I really like. Mostly old designs, like 1911s, or Hi-Powers. CZs are the most modern semi-autos I enjoy shooting. |

I like the XD. I have to carry a Glock for work and would bet my life on it. They are both great guns. I like the XD more because for me I can get a better trigger on an XD than a Glock. I've seen loads of Glocks with a lot of different trigger jobs on them and they all feel mushy to me, some more than others.
I have been shooting my XD 40 for awhile a think that I run it pretty well. As for the availability of parts, look no further than Tactical Technologies, PISTOLGEAR | YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL THINGS PISTOL and XDGuys to name a few. |

The .40 Short and Weak is the minimum of the 10mm. Sorry, but I had to add my two cents. I had to add my two cents. The M-1911A1 in .45 M-1911A1 is still the best and the one that all others are judged against.
http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/glock-kb-faq.html<<<< Even the HK's got blown up here too.
M-1911 frames in 10mm or .45 ACP for me! Anyone have a .41 Mag. or a .44 Mag. or a .500 Smith and Wesson? .410 / 12 ga. / .45 ACP or Colt?

You should research the polymer world of firearms a little better before making the assumption that they are all worthless.
I will agree that the 1911 design is hard to beat. You should take a look at the Springfield XDs, though. They are very comfortable in hand, and Springfield Armory has been around since 1794. They certainly know what they are doing in the world of firearms. Another alternative would be Smith and Wesson. They have some excellent offerings in the polymer world (i.e M&P pistols, Sigma pistols). __________________ "TRAIN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, NOT WITH WHAT YOU WISH YOU HAVE." |
