I simply cannot vote.

They are equally useful tools.

I prefer subcompact XD's over baby Glocks. And full size Glocks over full size XDs.

And for anyone who thinks either are poor choices, I encourage you to a Pepsi challenge, IDPA style. Me and my Glock 20 10mm, versus anything you care to bring!

If a new guy can add a couple of cents worth.... I have owned both and have this to say about them. The Glock is a very good weapon, I have a G23 and really like it when I can shoot it. My son is a small town cop and uses it as his service weapon. I bought an XD(m) in .40 and absolutely hated everything about it except the looks. It shot OK but the trigger pull was horrible and it just didn't feel good in my hand, I traded it in on a Taurus PT1911 a couple of weeks later. With that being said, I guess I didn't learn anything. I am picking up an XD in .357 Sig this afternoon, just could not pass up on the price ($325 OTD), I am ordering a .40 S&W barrel for it and will have 2 guns in one!

I really Like Both Glock and XD however If I can only have ONE pistol, I would definitely go with Glock. in a scale 1-10 I'd give a 9 to Glock and 8 to XD mainly because Glock is lighter, simple, easier to use, accessories availability, extremely reliable, durable and it's been long proven. the only thing I like about the XD compare to Glock is the trigger pull (more crisp), I think it's more sturdy compare to glock and the grip angle. however both guns felt really good in my hands. I really don't care about the looks. sure the XD is more of a good looking gun than a Glock but without a doubt you squeeze the trigger on glocks it will go BANG!

Default IF i HAD to choose....

If i absolutely had to choose, it would be the Xd or XDM. The first handgun i ever owned was a compact .40 xd and it served me well. Ever since i found Sig Sauer, i havnt really even wanted to look towards other guns, after owning a Smith 9mm, XD 9mm, Xd 40, Glock 27 .40, and a Ruger Alaskan .454Casull (which i STILL have). My p226 equinox (without rail) is one of the finest pieces of weaponry i have owned and it is with me everyday. .357 SIG/.40 S&W, using the .357SIG for carry. Where i live, the majority of shootings happen with someone shooting out of a car. I like the "enhanced tactical penetration" the round has, especially if i were to be one of the ones being shot at from a car. I have shot an XD in .357SIG and although it was pretty nice, its hard to beat a SIg

The XD guys are going to kill me, but I never bothered to take one to the range because I couldn't get pass how it felt in my hand. The Glock was love at "first feel." I currently own a Glock 23, and will be trying out a G30 and G36 at the range in the near future.

However, I strongly encourage everyone to stay away from the "ugly" Glock and go for a prettier gun so that demand goes down and supply goes up, making people like me that want more Glock's very happy...

Talk about an old one. XD can formally claim superiority over Glock. I don't even recall voting on this one, but it says I did....
