As stated before,I don't have a BHP at my disposal to get a feeling for. If I did, it would definitely be in the running. Jpyle is right, it is really a bit of a hard comparison. I guess it's whether I want the apple or I want the orange. I don't understand why the SS/black finish in the XDM has to be so much more expensive! I am leaning towards the XDM, but the grip lengths are really throwing me off

I love my XDM 9 C, the compact grip was a bit too short for me as well and the full size feels really long just as you stated, so spend the extra $16 (with shipping) for a pearce grip extension Pearce Grips for the compact mag and it'll be perfect!

That extension would fit my hand absolutely perfectly!  I will have to get one of those if I get an XDM.

I just wanted to let people here know, in case they were interested, that I went and payed my down payment on an XDM-9 Compact yesterday. I am totally excited to pay it all off and bring my new baby home with me
