They only see numbers and make assumptions.

38 means super, special, +p, or any number of things.

45 means LC, GAP,ACP

9mm means x18,x19, luger,ruger,sugar,etc.....

I just can't understanding dropping $600 on a handgun having no cllue what ammo it uses.

I can't see paying $600.00 for ANYTHING that you don't intend get more than your money's worth out of! That said, my business partner's antique Mustang hasn't seen sunlight in 2 years, he's never taken the boat he owns on the water, although he's kept the registration current for 8 years or more, and the G17 he bought 2 years ago is still locked in the gun safe he bought at the same time. Unfired. Which makes his CC permit absolutely useless.
I guess I just don't understand "pride of ownership".

I see these people as poser wannabe's, If they were real wannabe's they would learn what they need to know about the firearms they buy. So, that makes them POSERS! They just want the THING to have the THING, with no thoughts to the consquence of thier ignorance!

Please post pics of these guys so I don't come within 100 yards. I don't even want to think of all the accidents waiting to happen. They're the ones that give the rest of us a bad name, the kind that if you aimed a tac flashlight at their ear the light would show on the wall behind due to the great void in between.
